DREAMS and OVC programming in Kwania District. A total of 1878 out of school Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) from the districts of Oyam, Apac and Kwania were empowered through the provision of a comprehensive care package including entrepreneurship, life skills, vocational skills trainings, sexual and reproductive education, and protection services from gender-based violence. They were formed into village savings and loans associations, trained in financial literacy, selection, planning and management of small-scale business enterprises. The business proposals were reviewed, approved and the necessary material and supplies were procured to enable them start the businesses. All the 1878 girls in the DREAMS program were trained in Stepping Stones, Parenting and SASA, gender-based violence education and awareness, adolescent sexual reproductive health education and HIV prevention and community-based norms change.
