The United States USAID awarded a five-year Cooperative Agreement (CA) to UPMB effective August 12, 2020 to implement the Local Service Delivery for HIV/AIDS Activity (LSDA). USAID/LSDA is in the five sub regions of East Central, Eastern, Acholi, Lango and South western Uganda. The project supports 179 Private Not-For Profit Organizations (PNFPs) previously supported by Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services (RHITES) and continues to provide quality HIV/TB services and strengthen capacity for ownership and sustainability in furtherance of the Government of Uganda and PEPFAR.
The goal of the Project is: To support GOU and PEPFAR efforts towards reaching and maintaining HIV epidemic control and ending AIDS by 2030.
Over the course of the project, UPMB works through the non-governmental health sector to deliver quality HIV services along the 95-95-95 cascade including HIV prevention and also institutional capacity development of the PNFP sector.
