USAID Local Partner Health Services (LPHS) TB Activity is aimed at increasing TB case detection and treatment success rate in Uganda to 90% of all cases and thus will contribute to the substantial reduction of Uganda’s TB burden by 2026; AIDS information Centre (AIC) is ensuring strong facility and community systems to strengthen the continuum of TB prevention, screening, diagnosis, care and treatment. AIC has strengthened community-facility systems to improve TB case detection and treatment success in Uganda Cares Clinic-Owino and surrounding communities. AIC will use ACSM and community-based differentiated TB service delivery models including door-to-door and community TB watch using the community cluster system in the catchment area.
