About Kabale Regional Centre
This Centre was established in 2004 as result of growing demand of people who wanted to know their HIV status in the South Western Region. It is located on Plot M24, Rwakiseta Road, Kirigime, Kabale Municipality-Kabale District. At this centre – we provide:
- HIV Counseling and Testing services (HCT)
- Tuberculosis (TB) Services
- CD4/CD8 Cell Count Testing
- Viral Load Testing
- Antiretroviral Therapy (ART Initiation and Refills)
- Family Planning (FP) Services
- Gender Based Violence (GBV) Services
- Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP)
- Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
- Consultation for general ailments
- General Laboratory Tests including malaria, Prostate Cancer Screening, Syphilis (RPR), VDRL, HCG, HEP B and C, Blood Group, Urinalysis, Typhoid and Stool Analysis
- VMMC (Occasional)
- Training Services
Today and with funding support from USAID (under USAID/Uganda Local Service delivery) in partnership with Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau, AIC is fostering comprehensive health integrated services in communities, strengthening referral and linkages, strengthening existing health institutions and community systems, increase adoption of health behaviors in communities and strengthen Monitoring & Evaluation of Health systems in Kabale district.
