About Jinja Regional Office
Jinja Regional office was established in 1991 to provide VCT services in the south eastern region of Uganda. Since then, it has expanded services to include:
- Tuberculosis (TB) Services
- CD4/CD8 Cell Count Testing
- Viral Load Testing
- Antiretroviral Therapy (ART Initiation and Refills)
- Family Planning (FP) Services
- Gender Based Violence (GBV) Services
- Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP)
- Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
- Consultation for general ailments
- General Laboratory Tests including malaria, Prostate Cancer Screening, Syphilis (RPR), VDRL, HCG, HEP B and C, Blood Group, Urinalysis, Typhoid and Stool Analysis
- VMMC (Occasional)
- Training Services
The regional office is located on plot 17 Bell Avenue West close to some of the major tourist Centres such as the Source of Nile, Owen falls and many others under Busoga kingdom. It covers the districts of Jinja, Kamuli, Kaliro, Luuka, Iganga, Namutumba, Mayuge, Bugiri, Namayingo, Busia, Bugweri and Buyende.
