Using Global Funds, AIC implemented this project in the districts of Arua, Gulu, Kitgum and Yumbe between April 2016 and December 2017. The project aimed at Health Systems strengthening and thus: All the 28 CBO leaders from 14 CBOs were recommended for Seed Granting for Capacity assessment and placed at TASO Gulu for Experiential learning for a period of five days to help bridge the gaps between Theory and practice, build confidence, prepare them for concept development and implementation. The 14 CBOs were supported to develop institutional manuals (Finance, HR, Board Policies, etc) following capacity development. AIC and TASO developed a guide for Concept Proposals for increasing community awareness to create demand and promoting social accountability across Health service delivery issues (HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria including RMNCAH), rights and gender issues.
