Dr. Banunirwe Francis
Dr. Francis Bajunirwe is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Community Health at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). He is a professional medical Doctor. He holds PhD and Masters Degrees in Epidemiology from Case Western Reserve University USA and Bachelor of Medicine from Makerere University Kampala. After completion of his Bachelor’s Degree was posted by the Ministry of Health to work at Mbarara Referral/Teaching Hospital as a medical officer. His interest to conduct research led him to assume an academic teaching position at Mbarara University Medical School in the Department of Community Health as an Assistant Lecturer in 1998. He then won a scholarship from the AIDS International Training program of the Fogarty International Center at the NIH, USA to pursue both a Masters and PhD degrees in Epidemiology at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU).
